Properties：Red powdery solid, insoluble in water and alcohol, soluble in hydrochloric acid, ammonium chloride, ammonia water, slightly soluble in nitric acid, dismutated into divalent copper and copper elemental in acidic solution, gradually oxidized into black copper oxide in humid air.
Application：Used for manufacturing ship bottom anti fouling paint (used to kill low-level marine animals), insecticides, as well as various copper salts, analytical reagents, red glass, and for preparing copper plating and copper plating alloy solutions.
