  • Properties:Colorless crystal, easily deliquescent, with two types of crystals, A-shaped crystal, relative density 1.896, melting point 39.7 ℃, decomposes when heated to 132 ℃. Dissolve in water, ethanol, and acetone. Insoluble in nitric acid, oxidizing, can cause combustion when in contact with flammable materials, corrosive, and can cause burns.
  • Application: Used as an analytical reagent and as a chromogenic reagent in thin layer chromatography for detecting diphenylamine. It is also used as fireworks material and in the electronics, instrumentation, and metallurgical industries.
